Foster homes are the ideal situation for a rescued dog’s transition to a permanent home, by providing a temporary home for a dog in need, you will be helping them to adjust and develop. Fostering can be a demanding and difficult job, but one that is tremendously rewarding. Fostering a Greyhound or Lurcher may seem like a formidable task, but it is a tangible way of making a tremendous difference to their rehabilitation.

As a Foster Volunteer you will not only be giving one of our Greyhounds or Lurchers the opportunity of experiencing life in a home environment, by supporting them through their transition you get to spend time with a very special dog. when you open your heart and home to the unwanted and unloved, it is incredibly rewarding to watch their transformation.
The Foster dog through your time, commitment, and patience will not only stand a better chance of finding a permanent home, you will be giving them something they have never had 'Love'
The prospective adoptive parents will adopt a well balanced cherished pet, who is more adapted to home life and the outside world.
Experience the ultimate satisfaction of seeing your foster dog adopted into their forever home. As a Fosterer you will never forget the ones who have shared your life, sometimes it can be hard to let them go. But there will always be another, 'Just Waiting For You'.
Life is never easy especially if you are a Greyhound or Lurcher. Here at "The Mr. Cedric Trust" dogs get a second chance in life. Caring for these adorable creatures is both a priviledge and a pleasure, often the availability of a fosterer will determine whether another Greyhound or Lurcher can be saved. Please help us to say ' Yes ' instead of ' We Can't '
